Vincent PHO-500 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier

$1,299.00

The PHO-500 is Vincent’s newest phono-stage preamplifier. Integrate it into your Hi-Fi system for a high-end analogue sound!

A unsophisticated and low noise playback is the “job” of a good phono preamplifier. The PHO-500 manages this. The reason is in the first step a complex drafted power supply, which is built in an external housing and in the second step the carefully chosen components. You can also make individual adjustments by DIP-switches on the PHO-500.

Sophisticated. Highly Developed
Clear, low-noise playback is the role of a high-quality phono preamplifier. This brand new Phono Preamplifier from Vincent’s Powerline is not to be overlooked.

Why do I need a preamp?
A phono pre-amplifier is designed to boost the signal from a turntable or record player before the signal is passed to your Hi-Fi amplifier or receiver. Typically the signal output from a turntable or record player is quite weak, and it’s required to be boosted before it hits the main amplifier of your stereo or hi-fi unit.
Some turntables and amplifiers have a phono preamp built into them, but more often than not, a dedicated preamp is required to bring the low-level signal to a level that an amplifier can work with.

Many music lovers prefer to use a dedicated phono preamp in place of the small one built into their equipment as it results in a better sound.

Vinyl in the Digital Age
Many releases in vinyl are already delivered with download codes, which allows the music lover to store their newly acquired record digitally and to use the music digitally. But what about your old treasures? Thanks to the USB port on the PHO-500, every record player can now also be connected to a computer via the preamp to digitize vinyl records.

While playing a record, you can record it to a high-quality digital format using software on a computer. The PHO-500’s 24 Bit/ 192kHz digital conversion ensures that every subtlety in your music is captured. This feature is commonly only seen on select modern turntables.

Noise-Free Sound
As with the PHO-500’s predecessors, the power supply is housed in an external unit. Like the main unit, the power supply is specially designed to avoid hum interference and unwanted noise. The isolated power supply supplies the phono unit with “clean current”. The selective choice of the other components in this unit results in a signal with very low noise.
